Thanks for your comment. When do I find time to sleep or work? Well, that’s a good question. I did cancel my cable TV. Actually I’ve received this question at least a half a dozen times — blogs and podcasts are fun, but who has time to devote to them?

It would be a lie to say that blogging and podcasting doesn’t take time. But here’s the thing: it’s not a chore that I have to do. It’s fun, so it fits into my schedule.

I was listening to a podcast the other day and the interviewee addressed this topic with a Mark Twain story. I’ll elaborate on that with a new post because it will take a bit to explain. In short, we do things that we want to do because they make us feel good or that we find rewarding. That’s a major principle behind social design.

Another strong motivator for the blog is to simply keep a journal of what I’m learning. If I don’t blog about it, I’m afraid I’ll forget.

Can you share more about the pros and cons of dokuwiki vs. pmwiki (even as a post on your blog)? I have been playing around with dokuwiki for the past few days and I really like it.

I am also eager to find a good template to try to style the wiki so that it doesn’t look so generic. Do you have any recommendations on templates?
