Hi Tom, thanks for your help in getting DokuWiki set up. The key for me was using FileZilla. I had a problem with Win7 explorer timing out with ftp transfer. Also FileZilla has nice defaults for synchronizing my local PC with the remote host.

I was a very beginner who tried to setup my own wiki. I struggled for 3-4 days just to understand what this webserver etc is. Then found out the magic cure for Dummies like me
