I haven’t visited their blog in a while. You’re right — 3 months without a post? A company is better off not having a blog rather than having a stale blog. An infrequently updated blog makes a company look inactive, like they’re on vacation or hiatus or just not innovating or doing anything interesting.

I found this blog post when I was googling Author-it for information on surveys and interviews.
I find it interesting that it is almost three months since the last post Author-it made on their ‘corporate blog’ (and it seems that post was actually made by one of their consultants).
That does not sound to me like a company that thinks a blog is an ‘essential part of their corporate strategy’ as they have said. Maybe they have forgotten they even had a blog.

Great interview. This is a great way to show that a company is more than just a name but made up of real people just like the reader.

Had a look at their blog, and as corporate blogs go, it’s pretty cool. Sure, there is some fairly straight-up marketing stuff but all backed up by info that would at least be useful to a prospect, like me

I like that fact that they’ve published stuff to show the human side of the company too, and found the post from a German member of staff very interesting, from a kiwi’s point of view…

Sorry, Tom, but this is way too corporate for me. I appreciate that it has a place on your blog, and I don’t criticize you for putting it on. But the stiff start turned me off so badly, I hardly got to the slightly more candid ending. I know I will avoid their blog. – Too bad…
