    1. Murray says:

So would this be under F for fire, C for combustion or S for we’re screwed?

    2. It says here we should “bail out”, but I think that’s a typo… I’m pretty sure we should “bale out” since we’re in the UK; what do you think?

    3. Hunter says:

“…wait, here it is. ‘For more information on emergency landings, see the Help section of our website, http://www.acme-heli.com‘”

    4. wendy wallach says:

You wouldn’t happen to understand Dutch or Japanese, would you?

    5. Yina Li says:

I told the documentation department that we need an emergency quick reference card!

This is the emergency guide you requested! If the company would spend a little bit on usability engineer, we are in a much better situation than now…Hopefully, this will teach them a lesson.

    6. Ed SH says:

“If it’s any consolation, it doesn’t look like Tom Johnson will be presenting at this STC conference we won’t live to see.”

    7. Greg S says:

(Draft) In the unlikely event of fire, [TBD]

    8. Sean Ercanbrack says:

The manual says, “…should the product malfunction within the stipulated amount of time after the purchase, they’ll provide you with a replacement, repair, or refund.” Everything’s fine!

    9. Craig says:

This must be the wrong manual. Under “Fire” it says: Push red button to launch rockets.

    10. CB says:

It says here, “In case of fire, throw a bucket of water on it.”

    11. Harry Crick says:

I’m not sure where to look! This is the first time I’ve tried to open the manual! Who reads this stuff anyway?

    12. Daniel says:

“To save the trees, you’ll be glad to know that this handbook is printed on acid-free, recycled pulp. This handbook has been the standard insert on all our helicopters since Bob’s first, proud single-sourcing summer of 76. Last updated: June 1978.”

“You’ll be glad to know that the rest of the pages of this book are blank for customer’s notes.”

“Because at Acme, flight is an adventure into the unknown.”

    13. Doreen says:

I found it: “selective inattention – Definition: state of attentiveness in which one ignores or avoids perceiving something which creates anxiety.”

    14. Hunter says:

      Who won this one?

    15. michel says:

There is some problem in the helipad and he tried to correct it by going through his user manual.

    16. Tom says:

My favorite caption is the one from Murray:

“So would this be under F for fire, C for combustion or S for we’re screwed?”
