Don’t imply that all jobs are in IT. Although there are probably more TechComm jobs in IT than any other industry, it’s not fair to suggest that it’s the only option. Students should pursue industries that interest them — pharmaceuticals, telecomms, petrochemical, legal (policies/procedures), etc. etc. — and then find out where the jobs are.
You can recast this slide very easily by adding the magic words “for example.”
I am so myopic when it comes to tech writing and IT. I should prob. immerse myself in these other fields to broaden my understanding. Thanks for the tip.
What about remote working? I guess it’s more available to seasoned professionals, not necessarily to graduates – but maybe it’s worth a mention?
