New Variables for Technical Writing Project Managers: Larry Kunz at the STC Summit in Dallas, #stc10

    May 9th, 2010 | Posted in blog 2 Comments »

This entry is part 10 of 19 in the series STC Summit in Dallas

In this video, I interview Larry Kunz about new variables for technical writing project managers. Larry talks specifically about the ways agile and social media are changing the way technical writers manage projects. We recorded this video at the STC Summit in Dallas. The next day, Larry received the President’s Award at the STC Summit for his work with strategic planning. (I didn’t know it at the time we recorded the video, or I would have asked him about it.)

    1. Nice having Larry look into the camera. You did a lot of experimenting with this video series, Tom. I’ll look forward to hearing what you learned from doing it.

Thanks, Larry, for the insights into managing Tech Comm projects.

This was my first videocast. I realized a bit later that including myself as the interviewer in the camera’s view worked a bit better to increase the visual dynamics. I did experiment a bit with the videos overall. Experimentation was part of my purpose. Some videos included two interviewees. I also tried to switch up the locations and backgrounds a bit. Overall it turned out to be a lot of fun doing this.
